This workshop treads towards the boundaries of the cleverest and the dumbest things. The way I like to play is real dumb. What's the dumbest choice, what's the silliest pattern, what's the goofiest idea and how can we keep it from the brink of stupidity, keep it real, maybe even say something with meaning and intent, while still being an idiot. It came about because I was recently asked what my MO was in playing, and it's always go for the dumbest, funnest thing. But I also want to not always have empty, vapid scenes. I want scenes that can play to the heart of humanity. And humanity is dumb. Humanity is also vulnerable and clever and wicked and romantic and spiteful and your scenes can be all of those things, while skating the fine line before it all becomes too too dumb.

This isn't a clowning workshop, I'm no clown and have no authority to teach clowning. This ain't that. This looks at some basic propensities towards choices you can make in scenes
