Those cheesy, feel-good romantic comedies we all secretly (or not-so-secretly) love have the power to elevate a regular improv show into a heartwarming and hilarious experience. In this workshop, we’ll explore how to craft an improvised rom-com using classic tropes, beloved character archetypes, expressive emotions, and physical storytelling—drawing inspiration from Hallmark, Hollywood, and Asia. We’ll also dive into iconic rom-com moments such as the ‘bump and catch’ and the ‘interrupted kiss’. Please note that while this class involves some physical touch, all activities will be adapted to respect each participant’s comfort level.
