Performer Bio

Chanelle Sheehan

Chanelle Sheehan

Having previously memorised lines before uttering a word onstage, Chanelle decided to just make stuff up on the spot for giggles.

Completing an Honours Degree in Performing Arts led Chanelle to become a theatre maker and collaborator. Chanelle co-founded Sausage Dog Productions and Black Apple Theatre focusing on creating and performing new works and touring extensively.

Along with producing and writing Chanelle has also performed in musicals including the original Australian production of Flowerchildren, the Mamas and the Papas story where she understudied the lead role of Mama Cass as well as Children of Eden, performing for Stephen Schwartz himself, and also Hello Dolly wearing a yellow feather boa that rivalled Big Bird.

Most recently Chanelle can be seen in the comedy series The Backside of Television and The Last Year of Television on Binge.
